Job..

Post by D3TH »

Hi well this is my problem

I am currently doing my AS levels... well was.. i am not continuing my A2's, i got accepted into a collage course on software coding which i would love to do.

Now my last AS exam is monday..... after that i got until october time...

I have no money.. atm of time i do not know how i am going to i34 lol

so anyone got any advice for me, i am 17 and came out with nice GCSE grades.

I worked on a market stall for a market stall for a number of years... so i do not want to work in a shop unless it is a PC or Game shop or something interesting.

Anyone got any good sites?

that do you for starters? :D

there are literally hundreds of jobsites out there, just do a google search for the kind of thing you want and refine it from there. I would also suggest going into your nearest town/city and signing up with all the agencies there. The work they get you may not be fun, but it will give you the money and freedom to go to I34/LL10 etc. Even if the agency jobs are crap, it will look better on a future CV to have worked in this slack time, trust me :D

job hunting online is pretty pointless - at best, you'll find something you're intereted in.

i've Never even got an interview or call back (or mail back) from applying online for anything,

Agency work is the way to go for temping - sign up for a few, and be ready to get a call Early in the morning, even though they said there was nothing availiable.
Also, if nothing's forthcoming, go into the office daily, wearing a shirt a tie - whenever i was looking for temp work, i'd go in on the off chance in normal jeans-and-a-tshirt, and get nothing- turn up next day with a tie, and presto, week in an office somwhere.

Don't bother with the college course, see if you can get a trainee or junior position at a company if you want to do programming.
