I have a Shuttle case with an Athlon XP 2600+, a gig of RAM, and a pair of 120Gb HDDs, running a Radeon 9600 Pro. Nice but not top of the range, all my good bits went into the machine I gave LittleGem, an Athlon XP 2800+, a Gig of RAM, a pair of striped RAID SATA 80Gb HDDs and a Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb BIOS flashed to XT and it's all watercooled.

That`s very generous of you giving away all your top bits, Can`t say i would be too keen but then i keep people in new bits and pieces as i upgrade in quite big steps hence the big jump from 2.8 athlon xp to a 3.4 ht P4 Northwood. Seems to do the business quite nicely and i should be able to run Far cry & Doom 3 with everything set to maximum (Keeps fingers crossed).

I figured that I'd upgrade on a regular basis but LG wouldn't upgrade as frequently, so she might as well have a system that will run for a decent length of time ... I'll carry on tweaking my rig for the future.
