If your gonna go via coach, i'd consider getting some insurance for your
bits and bobs, as you cant look after it all when it's in the luggage
compartment...

lol House insurance, dont have any. But erm, you can get insured on thingy, erm the coach itself doe upto ?10k for like 99p extra.

Will have to take pics of the computer working before I go.

All you need to work out now is whether MiniDisk is joining you in Newcastle and you're travelling together or if you are travelling down separately, it looks like potentially you can be on the same coach for the lst stretch, but only if MiniDisk chooses the 19 hour journey option!
