In reguards to patch Lead = Network lead What would be the desired length??? as we have never been to your LAN`s before we aren`t aware of your set-up.

we usually have oa switch on each desk, uplinked to a master switch, so a short lead (3metre) would be sufficient.

We are looking to bring everyone onto one switch however, so if you have longer leads, bring them, just to be on the safe side.

I look forward to seeing you there :D

EvilWarlock, have you signed up for the event on the website, if not, would you be able to please, so we can keep a track of numbers.

Cheers

Yep i will be signing up to attend and stretch my gaming fingers and i`m also trying to rustle up a few more of my LAN company / Clan and see if we can`t get a decent number along to join you.
Also i`ve been rude as i`ve not said hello so this is me saying hello and nice to be around another forum and as you have probably guessed i`m another one of the Team Evil lot.

Welcome to our humble little home :D

I guessed the team evil bit, the URL in your profile gives it away ;)

feel free to bring along friends, we have space for 10 more, at current capacity (although there are others coming, who are not signed up).

Lo evilwarlock, had a chat with Cyberdrac.

obviously we don't want top upset those who have already paid, but as the issue hasn't been raised, we will assume they are coming for at least two days. So we decided on ?10 for a single day "pass" or ?15 for the whole event.

Hows that?

Very kind of you and also very cool, cheers for that i`ll spread the word to the other guys, that should entice those that fancy a quick session.
And a big shout out to IXL. maybe we may see you during the event?
Also sleeping arrangements... I take it that gaming eating drinking etc etc will all be in the same hall or is there a seperate place that sleeping is done. Not sure why i ask usually i just manage to sleep at my desk usually on my keyboard and from my playing level you wouldnt know the difference.

ROFL

There is a sleeping area, which is "upstairs" and overlooks the hall, or you can bed down in the hall itself. It's up to you really :D

Before i forget, you say there is a macdonalds close by, what else is there close by for takeaways like pizza, kebabs and chinese?? and what cooking facilities are there at the hall just in case we have to bring some just add water type stuff along. Must have food and munchies!!!! and a KETTLE!!! And just for us smokers i`m assuming smoking is outside?

Lo matey, there are a number of takeaways that deliver to the hall, you can pretty much get anything you like (although there is one pizza shop nearby that I can recommend ;))

fully working kitchen, including kettles, microwaves, oven etc.

smoking is outside, as you guessed.

there are also a number of supermarkets nearby, closest is Safeway, but also a tesco and asda nearby.

I imagine that we'll be orgainising regular Pizza mass orders, and of course we're orgainising a bulk order from the Chinese/Indian/both on the Saturday night so that we can settle down for a few beer and a film to unwind for a while in the evening. So that will cover most of the weekend ... and usually when someone heads out to the shops they offer to take a car full rather than go on their own ... and I did an early morning run to McDonalds on the Sunday of the last event ... so I doubt you'll starve.
